NEW YORK STATE REQUIRED 8 HOURS PRE-EMPLOYMENT TRAINING

Before obtaining a New York State Security Guard license, all aspiring Security Officers must complete a mandatory 8 Hours Pre-Employment training. This foundational course covers essential topics such as the Role of a Security Guard, Legal Aspects of Security, Emergency Response Procedures, and Effective Communication Skills. By completing this training, candidates gain a solid understanding of their responsibilities and the expectations of the security profession, setting them up for success as they embark on their careers.

NEW YORK STATE 8 HOURS ON-THE-JOB TRAINING

Once a Security Officer is employed, they are required to complete an additional 8 Hours On-The-Job training. This training is designed to provide practical experience in the field, allowing new guards to apply what they have learned in a real-world setting. During this training, they will familiarize themselves with their specific job duties, company policies, and emergency protocols. This hands-on experience is crucial for building confidence and competence in their roles as security professionals.

NEW YORK STATE ADDITIONAL 8 HOURS TRAINING FOR LICENSE RENEWAL

To maintain their Security Guard License, Officers must complete an additional 8 Hours of training every two (2) years. This ongoing education requirement ensures that Security Officers remain current with industry trends, best practices, and changes in laws and regulations. Our Academy offers specialized courses tailored to meet these renewal training requirements, helping guards stay informed and effective in their roles
